A club serving woodturners in Western Iowa and Eastern Nebraska, including the greater Omaha area.

The monthly meeting is at 6:30 pm on the second Tuesday of the month.

Anyone is welcome to attend our monthly meetings.

We meet at the Elks Lodge, 6410 S 96th St, Omaha, NE 68127 (one block north of Harrison Street).

On the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm the monthly gathering brings together woodturners from the area ranging in skill from expert to novice. Meetings include:

  - Business Meeting
  - Announcements
  - Show and Tell
  - Fellowship
  - Demonstrations
  - Raffles
  - Snacks

Live Streamed Professional Video Presentations

For 2020 the club has committed to offering 3 live streamed video presentations. These are three hour long live video demonstrations given by various professional Turners from all over the globe. They are interactive between the demonstrator and audience. A tremendous way for our turners to learn directly from the pros. These demonstrations are free to all paid active club members and a nominal fee to general public non members.

A most valuable aspect of club membership is the chance to learn from turners with more experience than yourself. Besides the wonderfully informational demonstrations at every monthly meeting, several of the more experienced turners in the club are waiting to answer your questions and help you learn the fine art of woodturning.

Several charitable projects throughout the year give every member a chance to donate a turning or two for a good cause. Also, public turning demonstrations are available for area events in order to increase the communities awareness of woodturning.

Lead by Club member Jim Smith, for the year 2020, the club members plan to donate 50 hand turned Beads of Courage vessels to the children at Childrens Hospital
in Omaha, Nebraska.

Members are allowed to check items out of our library.  The library contains dozens of books and videos on the subject of woodturning.  This is a valuable resource for anyone wanting to learn to turn and is well worth the membership dues in itself. Our Library is managed by Club Member Gearge Carr.
